5 Hobbies to Try

Looking for new things to do in your pastime, or just want an interesting story to tell your friends and co-workers? Hobbies are not just fun, but they can also be fulfilling, push you out of your comfort zone and reveal things you didn’t know about yourself before. Here are a few hobbies that we think are worth a try…

  1. Gardening

Whether you have a vast backyard or live in a shoebox apartment, gardening has become more accessible as a hobby these days. Start slow with easy-to-maintain plants such as succulents and cacti, and go from there.

  1. Woodworking

The satisfaction of using something that you created with your own hands – be it wooden toys, cabinet or table – is beyond compare. You don’t have to go full Ron Swanson from the beginning – attend a class to learn about the basic joinery and ways to use the power tools.

  1. Resin Art

Resin is a wonderful material that can be turned into any object – wall art, home décor pieces, coasters, jewelleries… your imagination is the limit. Practice and experiment with your resin a lot to get the most out of it.

  1. Dancing

Ballet, salsa, hip-hop, waltz, vogue… No matter your personality and style is, there is a dance for you. Get breathable clothes and an enthusiastic attitude, and you can take your skills to a new level (or just have fun).

  1. Board Sports

Improve your balance and show off your motoric skills with board sports – skateboarding, longboarding, snowboarding, surfing and more. The initial failures could be quite humbling, but you’ll come out with a cool trick or two!
